The LHGG Library has copies of many of the books considered as basic reference sources for genealogy. We also have copies of the following magazines: Ancestry, Family Chronicle, National Genealogy Society Quarterly, Family Tree Magazine, Family History Magazine, Heritage Quest, and Der Blumenbaum from the Sacramento German Genealogical Society. If you are thinking of subscribing to a genealogy magazine, you can borrow a variety of magazines to see which you like best.

Members can borrow library books and magazines on regular meeting nights. Record your name, date borrowed, # of the book or magazine borrowed and your email or phone number. When the material is returned, be sure to enter the date returned.

We ask that borrowed materials be returned at the next meeting. If you are unable to attend the next meeting, you may borrow the key at the Activity Desk and return the book or magazine to the genealogy cabinet in the Fine Arts room before the meeting, or send it with a friend. Should these not work, you may call our librarians, Darlele Ornduff to make other arrangements.
